Had a great ride with Ernie on Wednesday.
Once again we started on dirt shortly after Alta. we climbed up the dirt jeep trails to Bowman Lake. When we got there, instead of heading on to Truckee we headed north to Henness Pass and dropped down that trail which runs somewhat parallel to Hwy 49 near Downieville.

This was a warm up for our upcoming ride from Stonyford to Shasta (and beyond to Oregon if we can make it).
