I just happened to be on ADVRider at the right time and saw something I needed. It was the old style headlight grill for just $40!
I don’t like the clear plastic ones and really don’t like the new ‘cut plate’ style.
While the clear would be the most unobtrusive, it’s the old style just seems more appropriate.
Why a headlight guard?
Because… it only takes one rock to know the answer to that one.
It’s similar to why you might want a skid plate.
Here’s the beautiful headlight before:
And after a quick 2 minutes install. No need for complicated instructions. It’s 4 screws out, and four slightly longer screws in.
As for cleaning, there’s just enough space behind for you to be able to get in there with your hand.
Looks wise, I think it adds a little more macho readiness to the already aggressive looking front end.
Next on my wish list will be real BarkBusters.
